TE Connectivity Unveils Aluminum Wiring Connection Tech for Automotive Low-Voltage Harness at electronica China 2025

During electronica China 2025 in April, TE Connectivity launched a new connection solution for low-voltage aluminum core automotive wires, an upgrade following the 0.19mm² composite thin wire technology. 

The innovation cuts copper consumption by roughly 10kg per vehicle. 

Full-scale rollout across China can reduce annual copper usage by 300,000 tons and CO₂ emissions by 850,000 tons. 

It balances vehicle lightweighting, cost reduction and carbon neutrality, matching the upgrade of 800V NEV low-voltage electrical architecture.
