Amphenol XCede 20Gbps Backplane Connector Mass-Produced, 30X Crosstalk Reduction via 3D Shielding

Industry journal coverage dated Jan 1, 2008 announced mass production of Amphenol TCS XCede backplane connectors. 

The platform supports over 20Gbps per differential lane. Its proprietary 3D shielding suppresses high-frequency resonance and delivers 30 times lower crosstalk than prior generations. 

The 6-pair variant achieves an industry-high density of 82 differential pairs per linear inch. 

Target applications include telecom core networks, servers, storage arrays and wireless base stations requiring stable high-bandwidth interconnection.
